And I have attached a few photos: my latest author photo and a photo from my time in Kenya with the girls of the Tasaru Rescue Center - a refuge for Masai girls escaping FGM and childhood marriage. Through the S.H.E. Fund (http://www.shecollegefund.org/), I am now sponsoring one of those girls in a 2-year degree program; she calls me “ ummy" in our WhatsApp chats. And the last photo is of me with my kids in Vermont, the weekend of my son’s graduation from college.
